Who we are

Luméa is an online jewellery design studio operated by Dennis Luxe Jewellery, a bespoke fine jeweller based in Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dennis Luxe Jewellery is responsible (the “data controller”) for the personal data described in this policy. We serve clients in the UAE and internationally, including the European Union, and aim to handle your data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), or your basic Google profile if you sign in with Google.
• Contact details — your phone number, if you give it to us when sending a design.
• Your designs — the choices you make in the studio, generated images, notes and anything you send to our jeweller.
• Photos you upload — reference images of jewellery you like, and photos of yourself (for example your hand) for the virtual try-on.
• Marketing preference — whether you chose to receive news and offers, and when.
• Basic usage data — anonymous, cookie-free page-view statistics and technical logs needed to keep the site secure and working.

Try-on photos

Photos you upload for the virtual try-on are used only to generate your try-on preview. We do not use them for marketing, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to identify you.

Why we use your data

• To create and manage your account and save your designs (to provide the service you asked for).
• To generate rendered images and try-on previews of your designs.
• To contact you about a design you send us, prepare a personal quote and, if you go ahead, make your piece (steps you request before entering into a contract).
• To send you news and offers from Dennis Luxe Jewellery — only if you opted in. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and improve how it works (our legitimate interests).
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records.

Who processes your data for us

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Google Cloud / Firebase — account sign-in, database and file storage, and AI image generation for renders and try-on previews.
• Resend — sending account and design-related emails.
• Vercel — website hosting and anonymous, cookie-free visitor statistics.

These providers may store or process data outside the UAE and the EU (for example in the United States). Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and designs for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records (for example, details of an order you placed) to meet legal, tax or accounting requirements. Try-on photos are kept only as long as needed to produce and show your preview.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• correct anything that is inaccurate;
• delete your data;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• transfer your data to you or another provider in a portable format;
• stop sending you marketing — at any time, free of charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority — in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in the EU, the supervisory authority in your country.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires.
